GIN - SERIES - PLAYING
Posted by (VIP) 25 Mar 2004 6:19pm

As I understand it - We can now play a series of games instead of just One Game. This should be a better way of determining which player is best for at least that day. As I understand it - After 2 players agree to the type of game and amount of tickets to be played for, They both go to 'Contact Us' and request that the total amount of tickets to be won by the winning player be deducted from their account. Also let them know the exact time that this series is to take place. One of the players must set the table to play for 1-Ticket and the pre-agreed upon game.
Personally, I will be agreeing to play for 250-10-L for at least 50 tickets until one of us gets 3 games ahead. This may take awhile if there is a lot of back & forth.
This arrangement can be set for any BLUE players for any type of game or ticket amount.
It will insure that a player who normally will just lose one game and quit, has to play until one of the players gets 3 games ahead. This way, a player who goes into a match intending to lose 3 or more games if the cards fall badly won't be playing someone who is only willing to lose one game.
This doesen't mean that they can't agree to play another series. Thats up to them.
The fees that GC will charge for this service will be very fair as are all other fees.

Gin Match -- Series

Formal Rules for Gin Matches

Gin Match is a series of consecutive games that ends when one of the players gets a 3 game advantage. Details below.

If any player is interested in playing Gin Matches, please let us know - in this topic or via Contact Us.

The concept of Gin Matches is new to us, so feel free to comment regarding the rules below. Note: since we are not aware of the extent of the interest in Gin Matches, we cannot yet justify the expense of having a separate table option for such Matches.

(1) To play a Gin Match, at this point 2 players would need to 'talk it over' first & discuss the total sum (e.g., $500) and table options for single games (e.g., 200pt 10 L)

(2) Both players would need to inform us (via Contact Us) about the proposed timing and setup (above) of the match, after which we will collect the moneys upfront from both players.

(3) Players will play as many consecutive games, as it will take for 1 player to have a 3 game advantage

(4) Players will mark their tables for 1 $Ticket and other agreed-to settings (e.g., 200 pt 10 L) & play these games in the common Main room. As GameColony has full monitoring and recording, there'd be no need to tie up a TD.

(5) As one player gets a 3 game advantage, at the end of the match the moneys will be disributed minus commission by GC, after auditing all of the games of the match.

Lets try a 'Series'. I'm sure we can agree on a game and amount and I am anxious to see how this will work. Either catch me in the room or through this forum. By using 'Contact Us' (or use the td link on her tourney I think MAB can get us together.) TY & GL

C'MON - SOMEONE ALWAYS HAS TO BE THE FIRST TO TRY SOMETHING NEW. WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT RISKING A FORTUNE TO TRY THIS. I AM WILLING TO PLAY 200 10 L FOR JUST 25 TICKETS PER GAME IN ONE OF THESE NEW 'SERIES MATCHES'. WE WOULD PLAY UNTIL ONE OF US HAS WON A 3 GAME ADVANTAGE OVER THE OPPOSING PLAYER.
LETS GIVE THIS A CHANCE!
TRY IT, YOU'LL LIKE IT!
THIS WON'T BE NEAR THE RISK AS THAT FIRST PERSON WHO ATE AN OYSTER !!!

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!. According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!).   The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
