I am really disapointed why during a game of gin, u accused me of being rude, i tried to say to u i'm not a gin player i'm new to gin. I am however a Crib player and a VIP, at the end of the game u accused me of being ' a poor sport' once again i am sorry if i did not show the proper manners at a gin table, u played like lighting, so did i, i won. Problem with that? i really hope u do not have. i am a polite person, please do not treat me like i am not, if i did something wrong i appologise but at least tell me what.

dont take it to heart..

I dont know what happened at your table, but I do know I too have received rude comments from players that lose.. they are just sore losers.. I enjoy my games win or lose.. there are unfortunately a lot of very rude players at this site.. but the site is one of the best gin sites I have found so just hang in there and dont let the bad mannered players put you off! There are some nice ones out there!

dosman dont feel bad about a sore loser

I have made some suggestions on how to improve awareness in the games rooms on 'table manners' hopefully the majority will root out or maybe even convert the bad eggs.

That's it now no more bashs or digs i've said my piece.

You are a wonderful player and a delightful person. We welcome you openly and hope the disappointment you've experienced doesn't give you a bad feeling towards us Gin nuts.

I tried to respond to your posting in the Cribbage Forum but seemed to be locked out.

There are too many loser, the rude ones, in GC but that's part of the internet experience. The Webmaster hit it on the head when he explained the player playing in real life prior to the internet and the internet creatred monsters. We are very diferent than them and I hope we'll always be the better people.

As you can see, I've reacted to the rudeness and it is a factor but its not the rule. Lets hope we prevail.

Thanks for your input.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Ed you are a gentleman and a very good gin player (better than me, I mean that). Choo you are a great player, whom I try my best when I play you because you are one of my bigest challenges, I repsect you and your play so much.

Webmaster: Please Allow the above to read this message and then close it off after a couple of days, as i've said my piece and enough is enough.

Kind regards,
Dos

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!. According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!).   The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
