I Have to Do It

Most of you that know or have played me will agree I am a very easy going person and I rarely get into a spat or controversy with other players. As a matter of fact, I enjoy 99.9% of the players in GC.

The other 0.1% have a tendency to 'ring my bell'.

Yesterday I had the misfortune of playing an opponent that plays regularly. He thinks he's a wijnner but he's really a loser. At the end of our shortened match, I caled him a 'COWARD'. I was going to use this format to issue an appology but I changed my mind.

The rules for this format is 'not personal attacks' and I will abide by this ruling. You know who you are and your styler of play is reprehensible.

When he wins he'll play for hours. When he loses he is gone. Give us the benefit of 2/3. I know your tactic may work and your lack of chat is your style but in my humble opinion I must say this...you are not what I consider to be a good sport and I sincerely hope others will pick up on this thread and refuse to play you.

Sorry in advance to all the other great opponents and those I love to do combat with.

Thanks for your reply.

I lost the meaning of your message, 'This is why.' It could be that it's late but I would like to hear the rest of it.

I'm also looking forward to playing with you in GC.

See ya soon and thanks again.

since ive never seen you this upset, and your reputation is beyond reproach, i think you owe it to g/c to let us know which players give us gin players a bad name, so others dont have to deal with the b/s you did. the forum is supposed to be a place where we can all voice are pleasures as well as displeasures. listen no one is going to like everyone, im sure there are some that dont like me for whatever reasons. but as long as were not being cruel and mean and stating facts, i see no reason not to name names.

From webmaster:
This forum is intended for expressing & sharing ideas. Expressing displeasures is fine. If you have a quarrel with some particular player -- use Contact Us.
Naming/bashing of an individual will not be allowed here -- we intend to be a cut above this type of Forum. If this was allowed, a single player's posting could have destroyed the reputation of another player without much supporting evidence.

thanks

When he wins he'll play for hours. When he loses he is gone.

This is why a series-match is a good idea

Thanks for your response and acknowleging the fact that I go out of my way to be friendly and agreeable with every player regardless of who he or she is.

The reason for my posting is not to air my dirty laundry but to let all of you know you're not alone when you come against this type of player. If it happens to me I can guarantee it will happen to all of you.

I can't imagine anyone not liking you but I sure wouldn't want you to be on my bad side.

As I stated before, I will abide by the GC rules and not release the player's name. This is a 'must'. This is also a hint.

Let's see if you're as good a detective as a gin player.

It's all of our repsonsibilities to stop this sort of player and the best way is not to play them. I've started a list of rude players but I can't publish it...too bad

My dear friend, even you wouldn't be able to tolerate this type of behavior and I know you are a consumate professional. Rude comes in degrees and I can tolerate most but I've tried to break through oin this player to no avail.

Okay, I tried at least three times and I fauiled. Three strikes and even Yankee Baseball would call that an out.

All I can say is keep an eye out for this loser and boycott him as I am doing.

I know you know, that sounds like a song, that it takes quite a bit to get me to a boiling point. I fully understant that all men and woman are not created equal. But, and there it is again, those that don't come up to the civility that's called for in a public forum should be scorned.

I will ot break my word and release the name(s) but others should be wary of bad manners and respond by not playing. THis will go a long way and the message will be sent.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!. According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!).   The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
