Totally agree with you about the 'new game' box jumping up in your face before you've had a chance to finalize the first game. It feels really pushy to me. Generally if the new game question pops up too soon, it's just easier to say 'no,' even if I might have played another. However, I have no problem with playing more than one game with people (of course some are more fun than others), I just like to feel I have a choice.

I dont quite understand what the problem is mentioned above. If somebody presses the new game button before I have had a chance to say gg on previous game, I either want to play again so say yes and either stick gg in the message box........ or say no thanx along with gg in message box and press no. I cant see how my choice whether or not to play again is removed. Am I being thick here?

The problem: you don't have a choice to refuse. If your opponent presses 'new game' before you hit the ok button, the new game has already started; I am not sure if we say 'no,ty' and close the tableit is it treated as a forfeit . Because of this we are drawn into & forced to play a second game we didn't want to play.

Ramp...the game doesn't start unless you click on the start button. When the box comes up, as Blue said just click on yes or no ...I like to leave a message if I click on no, such as thx for playing or whatever just so the opponent doesn't consider you're being rude.
But even if you choose yes, you still have to 'start' the game... I just played a 2nd game to make sure I was right and YES ... you have to click on START before the game kicks in so you DO have a choice.

New game, no button

Peg, the game sometimes does START without us pressing the start button. It has happened to me many times. I think what happens is that as I am writing GG, my opponent must have pressed NEW GAME and my pressing ENTER to send the message activates the new game. I am then in a new game that I don't want to play and has started without my having had the choice to accept or decline.

... That's never happened to me, but I can see how it might happen. You need to have the chat box selected (by clicking your mouse in the box) in order for anything you type to go to chat. Otherwise, when you hit ENTER, anything that happens to be selected gets pushed. That's just the way Windows works.
I think if I were you, I would just stop using the ENTER key and always use the mouse instead.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
