i think you should get a new dealer because the cards being dealt on both sides, there is no skill involved. when you can pick up the knock card, or one card and go down 2 or 3 times in one game, takes all the fun out of the game. it is unreal the hands that are dealt. its not fair to either player......... From webmaster: What you are describing is rather an exception then the rule - the average measured number of picks per hand is way over 11 -- see Gin Topics

i am not complaining about losing, because i know that i get hands that are unbelievable too. and in three hands sometimes i have won the game. i dont care what your statistics say, because i have gotten hands back to back that need one card to gin. sometimes i would like to see the other persons hand at the same time to compare them. i know its the luck of the draw, but it takes the fun out of the game at the same time. From webmaster:You are playing here an online gin rummy -- it is much faster than land-based gin. It has been measured that on average the online games are up to 5 times faster than similar land-based games. When playing a land-based game, you can't click a couple of cards per second ... Similarly, the frequency of online no-brainers that may seem high time-wise, has to be averaged according to a total number of hands played -- it will be about 5 times greater within the same time period than when playing land-based gin.
Kudos for the MASTER

I can't ignore the great response given by the webmaster on this subject. As usual, your input is concise and to the point. The one thing you didn't mention, but I assumed all along, is the random choice and order of cards in the decks.
Since this original posting I've been a bit more introspective and have also noticed an abundance of incredibly good hands being dealt. If they were dealt to me I wouldn't mind but when they're for my opponent.....
Just kidding, I know everything about this site is 150% better than all the rest and we all thank you for it.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
