why would you say 'gg' after a bad beat. Who wants to see this. Do you feel that it makes the loser feel better because your a 'good sport'. I say take your 'gg' and place it where you sit.

Shame on you. Any gesture is better than no gesture at all. Lately I've used 'sorry' instead of 'gg' when it wasn't a good game and my opponent is skunked.
When I get skunked, it does happen, I don't feel like receiving a 'gg' and I often, not too often, respond 'you must be kidding'.
Regardless, even a 'thanks' would be better than nothing.
thats very harsh, speckled spanker..

isn't it just common courtesy for both players to say 'gg' to one another, no matter who won? it's kind of like Sumo wrestlers bowing to each other. i would MUCH rather someone said 'gg' to me, just as a matter of courtesy, than to just be silent. i say it to my opponent to acknowledge a win, of course, but also to acknowledge them, and that they played a good game. I doubt if ANYbody ever says that sarcastically (like: good gaAYame!), and if they do, so what? Please don't help to eliminate the little niceties that some people still use. xxx

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
