You are always playing with jr88. Never with anyone else. You never respond to my invitations, and won't ever chat AT ALL. What's up with that?

Come on, let's play!

I just noticed ED88 and JR88 wrapped up in mortal combat. I guess those are 2 you'll never get a shot at.

Now there's the flaw in the rating system. If they continue to limit their matches to one another they have to keep that high rating.

Oh the trials and tribulations of attaining fame....

Oh, you mean like all the times I invite you to play, and you ignore it. Yup. It's a beach!

Ed, I'm not sure 'mortal combat' is the right phrase, if you know what I mean.

Now you hit the nail squarely on the head when you commented about ... not accepting your challenges. I've been challenging him for the last month and a half. I really don't understand why those 'better' players don't accept a certain win. How can these guys be afraid of both you and me? I'm a 1,600 player and they are 1,700 plus players. They both play for tix but they don't seem to want the chips I'm offering them for free.

I'm a bit confused. The 'better players', in my humble opinion, seem to accept playing with me so why the exceptions? Okay, the better players I'm referring to are you and Calc_.

Do I pose as much of a threat as you guys?

Please tell me what I am doing to frighten the 'heavy hitters'.

I also agree that the test of a truly great player is his or her ability to play and win against his or her equals.

That means the rating system leave a bit to be desired. In my book you guys are almost the very best.

LOL

Very sorry Ramp

Ooooooooops! Sorry! I had you mixed up with <...>

We'll play in the future, I'm sure. What's the MAXimum you'll play for?

calc_guy

'What's the maximum you'll play for?' .......

What am I seeing? Could this be the start of a challenge?

I know both of these players. I bet no-one can guess which one I'd back.

Come on, even Calc_ would tell ya 50/50 or maybe not.

Let's see. Ramp will take on all comers and plays for a moderate amount of tix. He's a mid 1,800 player but would be much higher if he restricted hi matches to those in more rarified air.

Calc_ will only play for rating with players at his own level. He plays us underlings but only in non-rated games.

Ramp is a knowledgeable gut-feeling player. Calc_ is 100%, or somewhere around there, by the book.

This is one of the very few matches I would pay to watch. Two great players, how could we ask for anything more?

PS- I really think this is a joke....Calc_ is just fooling. He does have a sense of humor.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!. According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!).   The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
