DIABLO beats 'THE DEVIL'......

The first tourney was called 'Devil's HR' for 50tix and was won by the person that deserved the win almost as much as I did. Just kidding, Diablo won the 1st prize of 165tix and JDHolbrook took the second place winning 89Tix. I can attest that both of these players deserved to win and they did. These are also great payouts.
The only problem I noticed was that the six players that joined the tourney were the exact six players that play for 25Tix every night. I surely thought more HRs would join the tourney and maybe now they will after seeing the payouts.
There is another HR tourney scheduled for 9PM, 25Tix that should attract even more players that tend to get some sleep late at night. The addition of any HR tourney to the schedule is a welcomed event.
If I may be so bold to ask, I'll ask anyway, why aren't more HR tourneys offered at various hours of the day? When I was a TD I tried and had moderate success but I was only permitted to go up to 20Tix. The one 50Tix tourney I tried to run was at 1AM and it almost got off the ground.
Is it possible to assign one person specifically to HRs to determine their needs and what it will take to get them into tourneys at all levels? I know from personal experience that this group is highly opinionated and would respond well if more attention was given to their needs. One HRs, refuses to play tourneys, stated that the 16% commission is too much to give up to lure the HRs into the tourneys. Let’s face it; the same 16% is taken for a 40tix tourney and the 50Tix tourney tonight. The difference is that the 40tix commission was $6.40 compared to the $46.00 taken from tonight’s 50Tix tourney. I can tell you that the HR tourneys are easier to run than the lower tix tourneys based on the fact that the HR players know the rules much better. Tonight’s HR tourney was over well before midnight. How long does the average 5tix tourney with 8 players take? I know the answer. Is it possible to determine a 'fixed rate' for HR tourneys that will obviously benefit all the HRs and GC?
This is not a new subject but the advent of the 50Tix tourney makes this subject ripe once again. Naturally, if the number of players goes up, which it should if an incentive was added, both the players and GC would share in the take.

WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO THE UP-DATING OF RULES & REGS FOR SERIES-MATCH PLAY ?????? PERSONALLY, I LIKE THE CONCEPT OF THESE 1 ON 1 SERIES MATCHES MUCH MORE THAN TOURNEYS! THE KEYS ARE: $$$ LOCKED UP FORMAT & TIME PRESET NO BACK DOOR ALL GAMES CHECKED BY GC
TY & GL

Oh gee wiz STOP with the series matches already. Over and over and over. Ok, we know you started it... fine! who cares??? It never took off and nobody but you and MAYBE a couple of other players tried it but it went nowhere. If you want to play them one-off with other players then so be it. Otherwise, enough already. Let it go.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
