Ladder in Gin

I have been with GameColony since Sept 2000. I play gin every day and I never miss a day. My stats are always many days before they are updated and many games are not posted at all. My major problem is that it tells me to click on the letter (L) if I wish to play the Ladder. Well I have looked and looked but have never found the letter (L) to click on, on any page. I wish to always play the ladder games. Do I have to buy tickets in order to play gin or any game in order to play the Ladder?I wish to have someone answer me pls.

To select the ladder setting, each time you create a table, simply check the box that is below where you indicate how many points you want to play to. When your table is displayed in the main room, you will see the 'L' to the far right.
Also, anyone who has set a table with the ladder setting, before joining the table, you will see the 'L' to the far right as part of the table settings 
You do show a few games registered on the ladder. To check your ranking and see your stats, when you enter GC and select Gin, at the top you will see a link for 'Ladder' click on that and towards the bottom enter in your user name (or anyone's name you wish to check) and it will find you, pull up your stats which show your current rank, how many ladder points you have, what games you have played that attributed to your rank, who you played, if you won/lost,etc

Thank you CaseyP for letting me know where to find the answer. I have been looking for a long time. Never change any settings thats why I could not find it. I am ever so grateful. Will that option stay clicked on as a default or must I click it every time pls. Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year!!!!!

you will need to select the option every time The system has just one standard default per game type (Gin, Domino's, etc.). It does not save a default per user at this time.

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
