it is funny to me...again.....that some of the top ten players will not play ladder games in the main lobby...i used to be competitive about the ranking but then it just got to be the same old same old...the top ten playing against themselves or just not letting others in on the ladder games..it just seems you are afraid to lose ranking....which to me is so silly...be fair to others in the ladder system...it is just a game!

I AGREE. LETS BE FAIR WITH THE OTHER PLAYERS. THE FUN IS COMPETING.

I don't mean to sound insensitive but, I rarely read the forum and when i do there is always mention of this same subject. Seems to me, the object of the game if you are conscerned about ranking, is to get yourself within the top twenty. Which can be done with a little concentrated effort. From there, a formal challenge can be made if an informal one is ignored. It hardly seems worth complaining about. It's all part of the game.

in reference to jag-girl's comments..... Have u tried getting a ladder game against one of the top twenty? Good luck girl, it ain't easy!
As Birddogharve says, the fun is in competing, ratin is only a number, I find you get good games from players of all ratings. Quit worring about your ratings and give more consideration to the person going to the trouble to invite you to, or join you in a game

At GameColony.com you can play games of skill only -- play for free or play for $prizes!.
According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
