Posted by PEGASUS (moderator) Nov 13 2006 8:54AM A well known quote and SO true :) One of Americas foremost inventors and statesmen, Benjamin Franklin wrote a letter to a friend on this day in 1789 in which he said, In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes. Franklin penned Poor Richards Almanac which contained many bits of wisdom and homespun logic. Franklin was also one of the five member committee who helped draft the Declaration of Independence. |
