Born on this day in 1946, Steven Spielberg became the youngest television director for Universal Studios at the age of 20. He got the job by sneaking into the studios and taking over an empty office, acting like he belonged there. Spielberg has since become the most successful movie director of all time with such hits as E.T., the Indiana Jones series, Schindlers List, and the Jurassic Park series. He won Best Director Academy Awards for Schindlers List and Saving Private Ryan. |
