Why canât I double? What is -R? -X? Where does it say this?

Doubling, matches, etc.

-X setting - 'invitation-only' game -R setting - non-rated game At this backgammon server, player play standard tournament matches - either single point or multi-point matches. Multi-point match may consist of several games. Doubling in a single-point match makes no sense - see below. Using doubling cube in multi-point matches is done for a different reason than in per-point play: using the cube raises point-stakes [NOT $ stakes] for a game in progress within a match.
