Hi I would like to know how to see if people I regularly play are online ..maybe by making friends with them within the app.. but it seems impossible to share any contact details with anyone just to arrange a match ..do we not have an inbox for messages in our backgammon account ?

You can find your friends on the list in the main room. If you click on that player, you can send a private message to them.
