After a game I am asked to play another and I accept then when I hit start it knocks me out. Am I not doing something right?

You are likely fine Sherri, it sounds like the other player has decided not to play you. Don't take it personally. They may have had to let the dog out. Just enjoy your games and Good Luck mate.
