If that is true, then I belong somewhere in the grandmother category. There is a disturbing event unfolding in the pool hall. Someone is being abused. She arrived just awhile ago. She only plays for tickets. And as a beginner, she doesn't play well. I have tried to reach out to her to encourage her to play non-tix games until she gets better, but she doesn't respond to my messages. I do not know if there is a language barrier. Bear in mind, I, too, jumped on this newbee when she first arrived. But my conscious just won't allow it any longer. For heaven's sake ... look at her stats. I can't agree with this "abuse" part since to me it seems people are being invited to play. Who knows? I've played this person myself , was invited to table and kept being asked for another game, which I played several of. We chatted a bit and she seems very nice. But I do agree we should help new players , but they have to want it first. Tricky subject and not enough facts really. I am learning you have to accept things as they are and not as you wish them to be. All we can really change is ourselves, and hope we are a good influence on the people we encounter.
